International Abba Ministries, begun at Saint James by Jack Henley, helps men find freedom from addictions by introducing them to Jesus and providing housing and discipleship.
Jack is now in Tennessee, running Benjamin’s Way, working with orphans and their parents at Holston Children’s Home.
Locally IAM has a team of volunteers from various churches, including Saint James, which operates Abba Houses, working with men who have been homeless, jailed, and addicted with the goal of discipling them and walking with them toward restored lives. They are close to opening a women’s house as well.
IAM also runs Bridge Church: A Church Without Walls in Downtown Charleston and North Charleston, which provides a worship service and a meal for the homeless and disadvantaged. Get involved: Cook, Donate, Set-up, Serve, Clean-up, Worship, Pray.
Abba Van is IAM’s newest ministry – construction ministry to bless families, ministries, and churches.
